It looks like you're accessing this site through Internet Explorer, also known as IE. This site is not capatible with Internet Explorer, and due to this browser's limitations, can never be.
To be very blunt, you really shouldn't be using IE as your web browser, as it isn't compatible with much of the modern web, has many security flaws, and versions prior to IE 11 have even been officially discontinued by Microsoft.
For a better and safer online experience, please consider trying a different web browser. If you're not sure what ot try or you'd simply like some suggestions, I've compiled a list of popular alternatives for you to choose from.
ABOUT THIS SITE
About YeOldeVectorShoppeLong ago, back when Windows 3.1 was the hot new thing in home computing, I had several programs that were based around making things you could print out. Stuff like calendars, signs, announcements, flyers; that sort of thing. Each program came with its own custom fonts and library of art assets, so they were basically a sandbox filled with simple toys to play with. Even though I rarely actually printed out the pieces I made in these programs, it was fun to see what I could make, and in turn, this gave me some useful experience with using the computer.
Today, programs that can print fancy documents are a dime a dozen, so specialized printing software has become obsolete. But, even though the software isn't needed anymore, people still need graphics for their projects, and this gave me an idea.
I could produce a modern equivalent of that old software. For some time now, I've been meaning to learn how to use certain graphic editors, and programming has been a hobby of mine for almost two decades. Combining the two would be a perfect opportunity. Thus, you have Ye Olde Vector Shoppe -- a website that functions much like the old print programs of yesteryear.
Additionally, since the goal of this project is to improve my skills and just have some fun drawing stuff, I'm not going to charge anyone for using it or place restrictions on what you can do with the graphics I've made available. To put it simply, I'm content with this project paying me "in experience" rather than money.
After all, this isn't my "day job", so why not let everyone have some fun?
Who knows; perhaps you'll find something here to inspire you to create something cool. Or you could use the images here to practice using the image editing software you have, much like I did back in the day. The only limits here are the ones you place on yourself, so go nuts.
License and Terms of UsageAny images you create using the tools provided on this website are yours to use, for whatever purpose you find them useful, without the need to credit or link to YeOldeVectorShoppe.com . I mean, you can if you want, but that's entirely optional.
To be more specific, consider the artwork placed under the Creative Commons Zero license. This places my art in the public domain, thus freeing it up for you to use however you see fit. See the legalese below for more information.
